When Gu Yao was lost in the forest as a small boy, he was rescued by a king giant gorilla and grows up away from society. Fifteen years later, he meets Ma Ke and her family on an expedition. When outside forces become aware of Gu Yao and the gorilla, a dramatic series of events occur that explore the relationship of human and nature.
